Description
The Human Resources Director is responsible for human resources leadership and guidance in the areas of employee relations, salary administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation and other personnel matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the company policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
? Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures that the company is in compliance.
? Assists in the administration and monitoring of the company performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
? Maintains responsibility for company compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
? Communicates changes in company personnel policies and procedures
? Assists executive management in the annual administration of salary program
? Coordinates and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation
? Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the President on all personnel matters
? Support union contract negotiations and administration
? Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
? Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the company
? Supervises the Human Resource department.
? Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
? Support organizational development, strategic planning, quality systems and improvements
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
? Human Resources Management experience
? Strong Leadership skills
? Strong Training/mentoring skills
? Union negotiation experience
Education/Certificates Requirements:
? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
? SPHR certified
